What could this new teaser on the Canon USA website be hinting at?

Could it be the long awaited Canon 5D successor ready to eclipse the competition? Or is it a bit of metaphorical light dawning on Canon that the latest Nikon offerings are kick-*ss and their next camera needs to really bring it?

Canon announced their newest digital Rebel body, the Rebel XS. Canon really seems to be making it easy for people to jump from point and shoot to D-SLR with these low end models.
But, where’s the beef?
