Silly Sparkler Stuff, Long Exposure Photography

We were outside playing around with Sparklers in the yard and I played around with some long exposures. The principle is the same as shooting fireworks on the 4th of July or Independence Day.

Here are some of the better photos from the series.

In the first image, I tried outlining my wife with a sparkler. It’s hard to get under the feet.

In the second image, I was obviously spelling something. The ‘E’ is visible.

In the third image, my son was just having fun. I learned that he has a little bit of fear of fire which prevented him from really having fun with it. In the image of me writing the ‘E’, you can see that he is behind me. He was talking about how fire can burn you and to be careful.
