Chris Marquardt will bring his “Tips from the Top Floor” workshop to Portland, ME in from August 28-31. This is a four day workshop on Studio and Portrait photography.

From the workshop website:

Apart from learning about design principles, about how to see like a photographer and how to compose stunning images, and everything else that will help prepare you for all different types of photography, the 4-day Portland workshop will have its main focus on studio and portrait photography. We will explore both, the opportunities and the issues that photography in a controlled studio environment will present us. From setting up the camera to creating different kinds of moods and light situations.

Schedule
Day 1: 10am - 5pm, Welcome, first assignments and image review, image composition. Introduction to the studio environment. After hours: social night.
Day 2: 9am - 5pm, studio photography in theory and practise, first studio test session. After hours: TFTTF podcast production. (optional)
Day 3: 9am - 5pm, working in the studio, mobile studio on location, working with light modifiers, mixing strobes and available light, 4 groups
Day 4: 9am - 3pm, image post production, wrap-up.
