Canon announced their newest digital Rebel body, the Rebel XS. Canon really seems to be making it easy for people to jump from point and shoot to D-SLR with these low end models.

But, where’s the beef? Where is the successor to the 5D that we all keep telling each other about? The one we keep reassuring each other will be announced this year? The one we have carefully predicted by studying the history of press releases and model announcements.

Will we really have to wait until September to find out we were right?
