I’m organizing a local stock photography meet-up for iStockPhoto members. It’s tentatively called LobsterLypse, in the tradition of the “minilypse” events sponsored by iStockPhoto.

Picasa is free software from Google which allows you to locate, manipulate, organize and share your photo files.
If you don’t have Picasa, you can get it as part of the Google Pack. You can choose to only install Picasa, if you are not interested in the other Google software.

XPDF installs easily on the GP2X F-200 but does not support the stylus and touch screen.

I attended a Canon Photo Safari held at Gloucester Maritime Heritage Area in Gloucester, Massachusetts with Adam Jones. The photo safari is an opportunity to try out Canon photography equipment and to pick up tips and techniques from a Canon Explorers of Light professional.

A while ago, I became a contributor to iStockphoto.com, the micro-stock website. Today I went to the website and discovered someone had actually purchased a download of one of my photos. It’s very exciting. I guess I’m officially a stock photographer.
